Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal has called an emergency press conference amid the ongoing rumours about the resignation of current election commission.
The press conference is scheduled to be held at 12:00 pm tomorrow (Thursday Sept 5).
The CEC came up with the information while talking to journalists at the Election Commission on Wednesday.
When asked whether he plans to resign, the CEC stated, "I will not comment on this matter at the moment. I will provide details during the press conference tomorrow."
In response to another question, he said, "I will meet the President tomorrow."
