The 43rd Annual Commanders' Conference of the Army Service Corps (ASC) 2024 was held at the ASC Center and School in Jahanabad Cantonment in Khulna on Thursday.
The Chief of Army Staff, General Waker-uz-Zaman, OSP, SGP, PSC, was the chief guest at the event.
Upon his arrival at the ASC Centre and School, he was warmly welcomed by senior officers of the ASC Corps.
During the conference, the Army Chief addressed the ASC Corps commanders and other officers, engaging in discussions on various topics including the technological advancements, research, professional skill development, and future plans of the Corps.
He also paid tribute to the martyrs of the ASC Corps who sacrificed their lives during the Liberation War and all the valiant freedom fighters.
The Army Chief highlighted the glorious tradition of the ASC Corps and its contributions to the service of the nation.
He also praised the role of the ASC Corps in international arenas and congratulated every member of the Corps for their dedicated service. Furthermore, he urged all members of the ASC Corps to stay prepared to face the challenges of the 21st century through modern and up-to-date training.
The event was attended by senior military officials from the Army Headquarters, officers from the Army Training and Doctrine Command, commanders from all ASC units of the Bangladesh Army, as well as media personnel.
