The first draft list of those killed and injured during the uprising has been released by the special cell, which was formed to document the revolution 2024.
The matter was confirmed in a press release signed by the team leader of the cell Additional Secretary Khandakar Zahirul Islam on Saturday.
The release says: "The Directorate General of Health Services, the district committees formed in 64 districts, and the Special Cell related to the uprising have been working tirelessly to finalize the list of individuals who were martyred or injured in attacks by opponents during the July-August student-mass uprising. As part of this process, the first draft list of martyrs and injured individuals has been published on the website."
The release further says: "The first draft of the mentioned lists will be open to the public until December 23. The families, heirs, or representatives of the martyrs and injured individuals are requested to review the list and provide feedback to verify, correct, or finalize the names, addresses, and other relevant information. If anyone has any suggestions or feedback regarding the published list or has reasonable information for additions or deletions, they are especially requested to inform the Special Cell related to the People's Uprising via email (muspecialcell36@gmail.com) by December 23."
The draft list includes information about 858 individuals who were killed and 11,551 who were injured.
