BSF DG visits Tamabil-Dawki border

The Director General (DG) of the Border Security Force (BSF), Shri Daljit Singh Chawdhary, visited the Tamabil-Dawki International Checkpost area along the Bangladesh-India border.
He arrived around 12pm on Sunday to inspect the Tamabil-Dawki border region.


During his visit, he was accompanied by senior BSF officials.

Upon arriving in Tamabil, the director general of BSF was welcomed by Brig Gen Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Commander of the Northeast Region of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

The officials discussed ways to strengthen the relationship between the two border security forces.

A Guard of Honor was also presented to Shri Daljit Singh Chawdhary during the visit.

The meeting emphasized enhancing cooperation and coordination between stakeholders of both countries to maintain law and order in the border area, manage the border effectively, prevent human trafficking, curb illegal immigration, improve relations between BGB and BSF, and combat smuggling and drug trafficking.

Both countries' border forces were urged to play a more responsible role in these areas.
