Professor Mohammed Enamullah, a professor of Chemistry Department at Jahangirnagar University has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor (VC) of Hajee Mohammed Danesh Science and Technology university (HSTU) Dinajpur.
A notification, signed by Deputy secretary Mst Roksana Begum, was issued by the order of the president on Monday.
The notification says that in accordance with Section 10(1) of the Hajee Mohammed Danesh Science And Technology University Act, 2001, Mohammed Enamullah, a professor in the Department of chemistry, JU, has been appointed as the VC of the university.
He will be entitled to the same salary and benefits as his position. Additionally, he will enjoy other benefits as per the rules related to the position.
Mohammed Enamullah said to the reporters after receiving the responsibility that HSTU is an important science and technology university of the country.
I want to take HSTU further in education and research with the cooperation of everyone including teachers and students.
