Today marks the 51st birthday of popular film actress Arifa Zaman Mousumi. She was a popular actress in the 90s Dhakai films. After crossing 50 springs of life, she stepped on 51. Age is just a number to her. Her fans, friends, celebrities, co-artistes, and well-wishers take to social media and shower love on Moushumi with birthday wishes.

Moushumi has no special plans to celebrate her birthday today. Like last year, the actor will celebrate this birthday in the USA. After going there in October last year, Mousumi did not return to the country. The actress also said that she will not return to the country soon.

Regarding the birthday, Moushumi told the media, "I have no special plans for my birthday. Now, I’m in USA. My only daughter Faiza wants me to stay at home and give her time. So, I will spend quality time with Faiza."

She also said, "I will cook with my own hands at home, and also make a cake. But yes, I will miss my husband Omar Sani and son Fardin a lot. If they were with me at this moment, maybe the time would have been much more joyful. May Allah keep them well and healthy. Please keep us in your prayers."

Moushumi was born on November 3, 1973, in Khulna district. Her father is Nazmuzzaman Moni and her mother is Shamima Akhtar Zaman. She started her career as an actress and singer from her childhood. Then won the 'Ananda Bichitra Photo Shundori'. Later in 1992, she appeared on the screen with various television commercial programs.

At the age of 20, Moushumi made her film debut with Salman Shah in the movie 'Keyamat Theke Keyamat'. After that, she made a place in the hearts of the audience by acting in numerous hit movies. Apart from acting, Moushumi has also done singing, directing, and producing movies. Her pairing with Omar Sani also became quite popular. Apart from winning many awards in her career, she also won the National Film Award twice.

In her personal life, Moushumi married actor Omar Sani on August 2, 1996. They are said to be the happiest and most stylish star couple in Dhallywood. They have two children named Fardin Ehsan Shadhin and Faiza.

Currently, Moushumi looks after her service organization 'Moushumi Welfare Foundation'. She also works as a fashion designer. She is in charge of the ownership of the clothing band 'Ladies' in the capital's Bashundhara City Shopping Mall.
