Major General Jahangir Alam has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI).
He succeeds Major General Faizur Rahman, who has been promoted to lieutenant general and made the quartermaster general. The announcement was made on Monday (October 14).
Meanwhile, Major General Mainur Rahman, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 24 Infantry Division, has been promoted to lieutenant general and given the charge of GOC of ARTDOC (Army Training and Doctrine Command).
After the fall of the Awami League government, Faizur Rahman was made the DGFI chief, replacing Major General Hamidul Haque.
