Fifty-eight traînee police sub-inspectors (SIs) have been discharged from the police academy in Sarda, Rajshahi, for breaching discipline.
The police headquarters revealed this information on Monday (November 4).
Earlier on October 22, 252 trainee SIs were relieved for the same reason.
After a series of examinations, selected candidates undergo basic training for one year at Sarda.
Generally, the completion parade of the Outside Cadet batch is held in October-November. After this passing-out, the SIs are sent to different police units to work at the field level. Their jobs are made permanent after one year of service.
