Shimanto Khokon, news editor of private television NTV, passed away in the capital on Tuesday.
He died at his Santinagar residence in the capital.
NTV’s special correspondent Hasan Mahmud confirmed the death.
He said that Shimanto Khokon was ill for a long time. He died at his house after 2pm today.
Shimanto Khokon was a member of the National Press Club Management Committee. Besides, he also served as the former General Secretary of Kishoreganj Journalist Forum, Dhaka.
