Rahat Saiful and Kamrul Hasan Darpan
The biannual election of Bangladesh Film Journalists Association (Bachsas) was held at the National Press Club on Friday.
Kamrul Hasan Darpan and Rahat Saiful have been elected as the new president and general secretary of Bachsas.
Others elected office bearers are: Vice President Liton Rahman and Salam Mahmud, Deputy General Secretary Abu Sufian Ratan, Finance Secretary Irani Biswas, Organizational Secretary Mostafa Motihar, International and Research Affairs Secretary Abu Huraira Murad, Social Welfare and Women Affairs Secretary Israt Jahan Swarna , Culture and Sports Secretary Anisul Haque Rashed, Publicity and Publication Secretary Aminur Islam Liton, Office Secretary Ruhul Amin Bhuiyan.
Besides, Salim Kamal, Ruhul Sakhawat, Shakeel Hossain, Saju Ahmed, Shafiullah Sumon, Hafiz Rahman, Panth Afzal, Mohib Al Hasan and Niaz Morshed Shubo have been elected as members of the Bachsas executive body.
The newly elected committee will lead Bachsas for the next two years, 2024-2026.
Bachsas is one of the oldest, and tradition-heavy journalistic organization in the country. It was founded in 1968.
