SAT DESK : The Amar Ekushey Book Fair will begin on February 15 instead of February 1 due to the current situation of Coronavirus in the country.
Poet Mohammad Nurul Huda, director general of Bangla Academy, confirmed the matter to media.
The Ministry of Culture Affairs sent a letter to Bangla Academy, the fair`s organiser, informing them of the decision to reschedule the event on Sunday.
Usually, the book fair begins on February 1 each year.
However, Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2021 was held from March 18 to April 14 after the government enforced a countrywide lockdown around that time.
