Press Release: A preparatory meeting will be held today (August 11) at 4 pm on Tuesday at the initiative of Cox`s Bazar District Branch of Bangladesh Awami Juba League to observe the 45th Martyrdom Anniversary of the Great Architect of Independence and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman - National Mourning Day and Grenade Attack Day Held at the League office. With the consent of all present at the preparatory meeting, various programs have been undertaken to observe the National Day of Mourning on August 29, Saturday, August 21 and the Day of Grenade Attack on August 21. It has been decided to hold a Qur`an, Milad mahfil and discussion meeting at the district Awami League office on August 29 at 3 pm.
The day-long program also includes hoisting national, party and black flags at 8 am. Wearing black beige at 8.30 am, paying homage to the portraits of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and Juba League founder Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni at 8 am. Tree planting program at 10 am. Meals are served among the orphans at 12 noon.
