Science and Technology Secretary Md Ali Hossain paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his grave in Tungipara on Tuesday.
Senior officials of the ministry were present on the occasion. After placing wreaths, he offered special prayers seeking the divine blessings for the souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other martyrs.
Earlier on Monday, the government has extended job of Md Ali Hossain for one year on a contractual basis as secretary at the Ministry of Science and Technology.
A gazette notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration in this regard on Monday.
