Rain is predicted in the next 5 days

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted that temperature may fall in the next five days since 9 am on Saturday.

Rainfall is likely to increase and “Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely at many places over Chittagong and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, and Barisal divisions and one or two places over Rangpur division with moderately heavy falls at places over Chittagong and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met office bulletin on Saturday morning in a forecast for next 24 hours.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period.

The country’s highest rainfall was recorded at 96mm in Sandwip in Chattogram district till 9 am on Saturday.

The low over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay is likely to intensify.

The axis of monsoon troughs runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across the central part of Bangladesh.

Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
