A case has been filed against 90 people including former captain of Bangladesh national cricket team Mashrafe Bin Mortaza on charges of carrying out attacks on students and people during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

Sheikh Mostafa AL-Muzahidur Rahman Palash filed the case with Narail Sadar police station on Tuesday night, Officer-in-Charge Saiful Islam confirmed.

Golam Mortaza Swapan, Mashrafe's father, is among the accused.

According to the case statement, Mashrafe and his father along with others equipped with sharp weapons and arms held a rally at the Narail intersection during the quota reform movement on August 4.

When the procession of students demanding the resignation of Sheikh Hasina was near Russel Setu, the accused attacked the students.

They also fired gunshots during the clash, leaving several protesters injured, according to the case statement.
