The country’s judiciary system must be freed from corruption and political influence, says Attorney General Mohammad Asaduzzaman.

Attorney General Mohammad Asaduzzaman said that the interim government is not a political party, but a people's government.

“Over the past decade, votes and civil rights were taken away through disappearances and murders. Fundamental rights were taken away, too,” he said on Saturday (September 21) in Dhaka.

“The activists of the previous fascist government are still sitting in important places in the judiciary," he added.

The interim government is not a political party, but a people's government, he said.

He also mentioned corruption as one of the challenges of the judiciary and he called for action.
