The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday started an investigation against three former lawmakers of Awami League from Noakhali and Feni for embezzling government money through corruption and acquiring illegal wealth.
They are former MPs of Noakhali-1 Constituency AHM Ibrahim, Noakhali-4 Constituency Ekramul Karim Chowdhury and Feni-1 Constituency Md. Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury Nasim.
The Deputy Director of the Noakhali District Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has been tasked with submitting a report following an investigation into the complaint. A two-member search team, led by Farooq Ahmed, has also been formed.
Based on preliminary findings from the agency's intelligence unit, a comprehensive investigation has been initiated against the former Members of Parliament and their family members.
