A deadly fire at a CNG refuelling station in Mymensingh city killed a driver and injured six others.
The injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
The fire occurred at around 2:30pm on Monday (November 4) while unloading gas from an LPG gas tanker at Azahar CNG and Petroleum Conversion Pump in Rahmatpur bypass area.
The deceased has been identified as Himel. Police are trying to ascertain his details, said Mofazzal Hossain, deputy director of Mymensingh Fire Service and Civil Defence.
“Seven fire engines brought the blaze under control after around 90 minutes,” said Mofazzal.
The injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
However, the cause of the fire and extent of damage could not be known immediately.
