BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday said everyone has to be careful about devious role of some vested quarters in the party.
He said, “Everyone has to be aware of the opportunistic role of some vested quarters in the party when BNP is inspiring countrymen who have been oppressed for 16 years after changeover of August 5.”
The BNP leader came up with the plea while speaking at a press conference at Naya Paltan party office in the city.
He added: “We came to know from different sources that someone is attacking various institutions, including influencing public administration, for their own interests.”
Rizvi said during the difficult times of the party, they lived abroad in peace and kept themselves safe when Awami fascism was increasing to torture the party’s leader and activists.
He also asked the activists of the party to be alert from such incidents of attacking and these attackers do not represent BNP.
BNP joint secretary generals Habib-Un Nabi Khan Sohel and Advocate Abdus Salam Azad, Mir Shorafat Ali Sopu, Principal Selim Bhuiyan and Asadul Karim Shahin were, among others, present on the occasion.
