Police who opened fire at students being given postings: Rizvi

BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Tuesday said the police officials, who opened fire at students uprising, are being given responsibility to different places.

He said, “If these police officials are given charges in different positions of the force, it will be disgraceful to the blood of students and mass people.”

The BNP leader came up with the allegations while speaking at program during leaflet distribution in creating awareness to prevent dengue in city’s Uttara area.  

Rizvi also alleged that fascist Sheikh Hasina, who fled to India on August 5, turned Bangladesh into a mass-grave.

He added: “There are still many nexuses of fascist Sheikh Hasina in the administration.”

Mentioning the reshuffle of the police at the field level, Rizvi said, “I am getting information that some 803 sub-inspectors, who were appointed during Sheikh Hasina regime, are being given postings in different police stations in the country.”

BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Assistant Health Affairs Secretary Parvez Reza Kakon, BNP Executive Committee Member Tabith Awal, Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP’s former member Aminul Haque and Jubo Dal leader SM Jahangir were, among others, present at the event.
