Remove loyalists of fascist regime: Jamaat

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has called for the removal of those identified as allies of Awami League's fascist regime from all state positions, saying that they have lost the moral right to hold such roles.

He, “These individuals should not receive taxpayers' money, as they were complicit in past crimes.”

The Jamaat leader came up with the plea at a party activists’ conference held in the Loknath Dighi Tank area of Brahmanbaria town.

Dr Shafiqur Rahman warned that if these individuals remain in power, they could undermine the government, the state, and the people's aspirations, ultimately leading to failure.

He criticized the Awami government's ‘Aynaghar’, claiming that very few detainees ever returned to their families, implying they were eliminated without trace or proper information for their families.

Shafiqur Rahman also accused the Awami League of attempting to create unrest, mentioning incidents like the Ansar event and alleged attempts to stage a judicial coup.

He claimed they are now trying to rebrand themselves under Islamic symbols, and that leaders of the Chhatra League are inciting youth under a religious guise to create chaos.

According to him, this is a conspiracy to portray Bangladesh as a violent and extremist state, which he believes the nation will collectively resist.

He expressed his vision for a new Bangladesh where everyone, regardless of background, enjoys equal rights and where social harmony prevails.

The event's chief guest was ATM Masum, the central assistant secretary general of Jamaat-e-Islami, while Mohammad Golam Faruq, the Brahmanbaria district Jamaat-e-Islami ameer and a member of the Central Majlish-e-Shura, presided over the event.
