Bangladesh national cricket team's first group has departed for Dubai to play a three-match ODI series against Afghanistan.
The team, including key players and coaching staff, left on Saturday at 5:30 PM, while the remaining members are scheduled to depart on Sunday.
The departing squad consists of players who were not part of the recent Test series against South Africa in Chattogram. This includes ODI specialists like Soumya Sarkar, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Tawhid Hridoy, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, and Shariful Islam.
Players played in the Test match—captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, Zakir Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz—will fly on November 3. This arrangement allows them to complete the Test series and join the squad in Dubai without any scheduling conflicts.
The ODI series kicks off on November 6 in Sharjah, with the remaining two matches scheduled for November 9 and 12 at the same venue.
