Controversial Awami League leader and former MP Shamim Osman, is now staying in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
He was spotted in the Emirate's Ajman City Center on Tuesday (Oct 1). Bangladeshi expatriates in the UAE saw him walking around the UAE’s largest shopping center at 9pm.
At that time, two veil wearing women were seen with Shamim Osman.
Eyewitnesses said that Shamim Osman went to a mobile operator company with iPhone 16 Pro Max. At that time, he asked Bangladeshis not to take his picture.
Earlier, he was spotted in Delhi, visiting the revered shrine of Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya. The sighting was shared widely on social media after a Bangladeshi student studying in India, Akash Haque, posted a photo of the MP at the shrine.
Many of Awami League’s high-profile leaders fled the country following the fall of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina's government on August 5.
