This year, individuals under the age of 15 will not be allowed to perform Hajj.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced this in a notice on Wednesday regarding the minimum age requirement for Hajj pilgrims.
According to the notice, for the 2025 Hajj season (1446 Hijri), the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has set the minimum age for Hajj participants at 15 years, considering the health and safety of children.
This age limit will be determined based on the birth date in the pilgrim's passport.
Additionally, the notice says that any registered child pilgrim under 15, or their accompanying guardian where applicable, may be replaced with a pre-registered Hajj pilgrim.
